There are plenty of things to do while you are in Budapest, shopping is one of them. You can indulge and splurge at the same time chosing between brands like Zara to Louis Vuitton.
From shopping malls to boutiques, Budapest offers lots of places where you can find what you are looking for.
Here is a list of places where I enjoy shopping.
First, let me tell you that there are Hungarian brands I just have to mention. Whenever I visit their stores I find something nice.
MONOFASHION – a small boutique located downtown which offers clothes from Hungarian contemporary designers. Here you can find brands like: NUBU, NANUSHKA, USE, JE SUIS BELLE, ARTISTA.
My favorites are NUBU, NANUSHKA and USE.
NUBU is all about sophistication, elegance, comfiness. Their collection is made for the urban women, who love the minimalistic and simple cuts. Last summer I’ve visited the Monofashion boutique and purchased 3 amazing dresses, which I’ve worn all summer long.
NANUSHKA – is a brand which offers contemporary clothes for modern day women. Their clothes are comfortable and stylish at the same time. Nanushka opened its first flagship store in downtown Budapest.
USE – it’s a high contemporary fashion brand. Their clothes are very fashionable, really chick. They offer amazing dresses, skirts, trousers – ready to wear clothes. Here I’ve purchased an oversize cardigan/coat, which keeps me warm but stylish too. I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it.
If you want to splurge, you just need to walk down on Andrassy Street. There you can find stores like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Tous. Great for window shopping as well.
Also this spring Budapest will get its first luxury department store called IL BACIO DI STILE. Here you can find both high-end fashion and contemporary brands from Zadig & Voltaire Chloé, Lanvin, Céline, Jill Sander to Valentino…
IL BACIO DI STILE
Downtown there is also a store called HEAVEN STORE with brands like Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, DVF, YSL, Patrizia Pepe. There’s a little ‘place’ of Heaven in there 🙂
Nearby from Heaven Store, you can also do some retail therapy while walking down the FASHION STREET.
Here you can find stores like Furla, Nanushka, Hugo Boss, Massimo Dutti (which opened its first store in Budapest in Fall of 2012 ). When you are already done and hungry from shopping, or just want to take a little snack-break, check out a great place called VAPIANO. Offering both takeaway and sit-in options, they make a great quick-lunch or early dinner option before you go home to check your latest additions to your fashion-closet 🙂
Vörösmarty Square & Váci Street are also in downtown Budapest: here you can take a nice walk and stop by stores like Zara, Mango, H&M, Humanic.
Shopping malls also make shopping great fun, amongst all, my favorits are ARENA PLAZA, MOM PARK.
The brands in almost all shopping malls are the same: Mango, Zara, H&M, etc… but in MomPark there’s a French Connection store and a concept gallery – CONCEPT GALLERY in which you can find brands like Michael Kors, Paola Frani or Ottaviani. Great excuse to go there and check it out.
And if you are looking for shoes, visit BAGATT.
