Red Shoes Chic

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

Last week we had such beautiful warm October days, Indian Summer really hit us.

I’ve built my look based on the red heels, similar here Nine West Women’s Flax Pump.

Red shoes are a statement piece, so in order to keep it classy, the rest of the outfit needs to be toned down. It really works with neutral colours such as black, white, grey, nude, pastel.

So, I’ve paired the shoes with a monochrome cardigan, white blouse, boyfriend jeans and a nude bag similar here Foley + Corinna Simpatico Satchel,Nude,One Size.

Cape / Poncho For Fall

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

I was very happy when I found this cape / poncho in my closet, I think I bought it 5-6 years in a boutique called ‘Paris Boutique ‘.

It’s perfect for Fall as it is a layering piece.

I mixed it with distressed skinny jeans and suede ankle boots and under the cape / poncho I wore a white t-shirt, which popped out and made a contrast between the jeans and the poncho.

This look was featured by InStyle Hungary & Look Magazine 🙂

I hope you like it, have a wonderful week!

Flare Jeans & PullOver

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

Going through my closet, I came across with an old pair of flare jeans, similar here: JHaus Women’s Ava Flare Leg Jean, and I
almost forgot that I have them :). I own mostly skinny or boyfriend jeans, but finding the flare ones, I thought I can wear them on my latest outfit.

The flare of the jeans starts just above the knee, so in order to keep the balance, pair the jeans with more fitted tops.

Wear them with t-shirts, shirts, fitted blouses or sweater / jumpers. It looks really great with biker and wool jackets.

Last Saturday, we had a beautiful Fall day & I paired my jeans with a black pullover, similar here: Mango Women’s Oversize Mohair Wool-Blend Sweater
& wear under a white t-shirt to have a contrast between the jeans & pullover.

Hope you like it 🙂

Camel Leopard Print Scarf

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

I’ve always been a bit reluctant when it came to animal print pieces ( scarf, coat, shoes ). But then I found this amazing camel leopard print scarf  at Oasis, similar here:  Scarfand’s Leopard Infinity Scarf (Camel).
I love it. As it is a statement piece, I wear it with either a black sweater, cardigan, coat or with a nude colour.

As the animal prints are pretty ‘loud’, wear only one item in an outfit, this way the whole look will be tasteful and not over the top.

This is my last outfit from London, we went back to Mayfair to snap these pics.

Hope you like it 🙂

Black & White In Chelsea

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

I visited London a few times, but never been to Chelsea district.

This time we went there and I loved it.

King’s Road is located in this district and here you can find high street brands as French Connection, Jigsaw.

If you are looking for more luxurious brands, walk down Sloane Street and you’ll meet the most famous designer shops from Celine, Chloe, Valentino to Gucci…

This area is ideal for retail therapy 🙂

I was wearing basic pieces: a v-neck t-shirt paired with jeans, heels and statement necklace. You never go wrong when it comes to basics.

This post’s outfit photos are mostly in black & white, I love b&w pics as they are timeless and classical.

5 Ways To Wear A White T-Shirt

By Ildi Pop | How to...

One of the most essential piece of clothing which can be found in a wardrobe is the white t-shirt. It’s not only a classic, extremely comfortable piece, but it is versatile and you can wear it every season. The white t-shirt can be implemented in every look from a day one to an evening one. Whenever I’m in doubt on what to wear, I always choose the good ‘old’ white t-shirt.

If  you are looking for a white t-shirt, look for a more relaxed, V-neck one, this way it will be easier to build cohesive looks.

So, here are 5 tips how to wear a white t-shirt.

Casual – perfect for weekdays & weekends while running errands or headed to the Saturday grocery / market shopping.

I love this look: it’s relaxed, comfy and with a nice accessory such as a necklace and/or a scarf, the look is effortless and chic.

WorkWear – the white t-shirt can be worn to the office, and not only on casual Fridays.

Paired with a skirt, heels and blazer, the T is upgraded to a whole new level of elegance.

All White – mixing white, gold & brown always works: it gives you a clean, polished & stylish look.

This particular look works mostly on a hot summer day. Wear it to a date, going out or to a Sunday brunch.

Going Out – spice it up a little: add some leather, maybe a statement necklace and you’ll be the chicest girl at the party. The monochrome look works very good with bold colours, add a little bit of red and you’ll definitely turn some heads.

Layered – one of my favourite seasons is Fall because you can make great combinations effortlessly. Fall is just perfect for layering.

Wearing a t-shirt under your sweater, cardigan, blazer or biker jacket is ideal for Fall. This look can be worn for a casual outing, shopping, meeting for coffee with your friends or going to a movie.

Which is your favourite piece of clothing from your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Monochrome Trend

By Ildi Pop | Fall Fashion , Fashion

One of the most popular trends nowadays is monochrome – black and white combination has been upgraded to a whole new level.

It works in many ways as it is a classic and smart look. For a more classic look, combine it with neutral colours ( black, white, nude ).

Glam it up with a splash of colour – add either a pair of bright heels, bag or wear a red hot lipstick.

Mayfair & HydePark

By Ildi Pop | Fashion

Mayfair is amongst one of my favourite districts in London. In this area you can admire the beautiful architecture and its a great place to escape from the crowded Oxford Street. Whenever I visit London, the first place to go to is Mayfair, I just love to walk in this area.

A lot of high brands come together in Mayfair from Lanvin to Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs and the list continues…If you wanna splurge, here you can definitely do it in a more calmer, relaxed way.

After Mayfair we headed to Hyde Park, which is unbelievably beautiful and huge.

I was wearing my newly purchased coat from Cos, which is simple and elegant in the same time, paired it with a relaxed blouse, black coated trousers and heels. While we were exploring the area I was wearing flats, so for a more casual, relaxed look I just slip into my flats and I’m good to go 🙂

Portobello Market

By Ildi Pop | Travel

People are drawn by Portobello Market  from all around the world. It is located on Portobello Road, Notting Hill district, West London.

The market is well known for its second-hand clothes and antiques, but apart from that you can also find fruit and vegetable stalls.

If you are looking to find unique pieces and great bargains, this is the perfect place to start.

I was really pleased when I got my hands on the Alexander Wang Rockie Duffel bag at a reasonable price as it retails around $725.

Saturday is the busiest, most crowded, it takes a while till you can explore it, but it’s worth it.

A great place to start your Saturday in London 🙂
